The company Anthropic announced a new feature called Skills that lets their AI assistant Claude load specialized folders with instructions, scripts and resources when needed.
Skills are composable, portable, and efficient: Claude only loads what is needed, stacks skills together, and uses the same format across different products.
This works across Claude’s apps, Claude Code and via API. Users and developers can build their own Skills and use them across workflows—making Claude more of a specialist than a generalist.

Google introduced updates to their video‑editing tool Flow using the model Veo 3.1. The update gives creators richer audio, more narrative control, and improved realism in their videos.
The tool now lets you add, remove or refine scene elements, supports “Ingredients to Video”, “Frames to Video” and “Extend” features, giving more creative flexibility.
Over 275 million videos were already created in Flow, and this upgrade is meant to let creators work smarter and faster.
NVIDIA launched the DGX Spark—a compact AI supercomputer aimed at developers. It delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and has 128 GB of unified memory, allowing local fine‑tuning of large models and inference of very big models.
DGX Spark supports models with up to 200 billion parameters and fine‑tuning of up to 70 billion‑parameter models. The idea is to bring high-end AI computing into labs and offices, not just data‑centers.
The platform includes the full NVIDIA software stack and is being shipped globally through partners such as Acer, Dell, Lenovo—and includes prominent early users in research and industry.
Google’s research team released the model C2S‑Scale 27B built on their Gemma model family. This model helped discover a new drug combination (silmitasertib + interferon) that increased tumor antigen presentation by around 50% in lab tests, making “cold” tumors more visible to the immune system.
The model screened 4,000+ drugs across two contexts (immune‑context‑positive vs neutral) and picked a surprising hit not previously known for that effect.
This shows AI isn’t just about language or chat—it’s now being used for biology and medicine, generating new hypotheses that are then validated experimentally.
Anthropic’s new model Claude Haiku 4.5 is a lighter, faster, and cheaper version of their top models. It offers near‑frontier performance at about one‑third the cost of the previous mid‑tier model and more than twice the speed.
It is now available to all users and is especially built for tasks requiring speed—chat, coding, workflows and real‑time assistance.
The move signals a shift: high‑end model performance is becoming more accessible and cost‑efficient, meaning more companies or users can adopt powerful AI without the huge costs.
