💬 WhatsApp rolls out AI-generated summaries for private messages - LINK
WhatsApp now has an AI-powered summary feature for your unread private chats. Just press a button to get a bulleted rundown instead of reading every message.
This is rolling out in the US in English, and it uses Private Processing so Meta doesn’t actually see your messages. It’s optional and off by default, and you can turn it off in group chats too.
Some users worry about permanent UI changes and ads, but the summaries are private and only visible to you.

🧠 Anthropic now lets you make apps right from its Claude AI chatbot - LINK
Anthropic’s Claude chatbot has a new beta feature called Artifacts, which lets you build AI-powered mini apps inside the chat. These can be shared and used by others through Claude’s interface.
When someone uses your artifact app, it just counts against their Claude subscription, and you don’t need to manage API keys or billing. It makes creating tools and games no-code and easy.
This builds on last year’s Artifacts feature and brings it into public beta, letting people quickly turn ideas into real, interactive tools.

The startup is talking to big game studios about using their data to train the AI. They see no reason to sell now—they want to stay independent .
Runway believes AI could make game development 40% faster, similar to how they sped up film production.

📸 Facebook is starting to feed its AI with private, unpublished photos - LINK
Meta is testing a new opt-in camera roll upload feature for Facebook chat suggestions. It lets your phone photos be used to create things like collages and themed memory reels.
Meta says it won’t use these private photos to train AI today, but its terms let it keep data and metadata in case that changes later. Critics worry this could violate privacy over time.
The feature is opt-in and reversible, but concerns remain about how long Meta will keep user photos—especially older ones.

🤖 Reddit turns 20, and it’s going big on AI - LINK
Reddit is celebrating its 20th anniversary by launching Reddit Answers, an AI tool that gives you summaries of discussions while linking directly to the original posts. The goal is to keep Reddit’s pure, human-driven conversations made easy to navigate.
CTO Chris Slowe says the initial rollout is going really well. They’re also working to stop AI-generated spam and might use verification tools to make sure posters are real people. It also introduced Firefly Boards, a mobile moodboard feature for creative teamwork.
Reddit is also suing Anthropic for using its data without permission and adding AI-powered tools for advertisers and moderators.
